Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed several areas of Karachi, with thunderstorms reported in Baldia Town and rainfall recorded in New Karachi, Saddar, Civil Hospital, Surjani Town, Malir, North Nazimabad, Buffer Zone, Ahsenabad, Jamia-tur-Rasheed and surrounding localities on Thursday afternoon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The change in weather was marked by strong winds, signaling a broader rain system affecting the metropolitan area.

According to reports from different districts, rainfall intensified in parts of Baldia Town and its surrounding neighborhoods, where thunder and lightning accompanied steady showers.

Surjani Town experienced a spell of heavy rain, while Malir also received rainfall, adding to the widespread nature of the weather event.

In North Nazimabad and the Buffer Zone, residents reported drizzle coupled with strong winds, creating cooler conditions across these densely populated areas.

Ahsenabad witnessed heavy rainfall, while areas around Jamia-tur-Rasheed and nearby localities experienced light rain driven by brisk winds.

The intermittent showers, though varying in intensity, were observed across multiple zones of the city, indicating a consistent weather pattern rather than isolated rainfall.

Meteorological conditions suggest that the system may continue to affect Karachi intermittently, with residents advised to remain cautious amid strong winds and potential changes in visibility.
