The Punjab Assembly (PA) session, convened for the election of the Punjab chief minister on Friday, failed to start at 4:00 PM, the scheduled time, as the assembly’s main gate had to be closed for the visitors after the MPAs belonging to both the PTI and the ruling PML-N came face to face with each other at the premises of assembly’s building, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
MPAs from both sides shouted slogans in support of their leaders, prompting the authorities to bar the entry and exit of the MPAs.
While those in the PML-N camp shouted ‘Hamza Shehbaz zindabad’, those belonging to the PTI shouted, “Imran Khan zindabad’.
