IHC throws out appeals of Usman Mirza, others in notorious couple torture case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday rejected the appeals against the sentences of five criminals including Usman Mirza in the notorious couple torture case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Two-judge bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir pronounced the reserved verdict, upholding the life sentences of all the criminals.

The trial court had sentenced the five accused to life in prison in the couple torture case.

It is worth mentioning here that a case had been registered against Usman Mirza and accomplices at the Golra police station in Islamabad after the video of a boy and a girl being tortured by them went viral on social media in July 2021.
