Amjad Hussain Advocate elected Gilgit-Baltistan CM

Amjad Hussain Advocate was elected chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan unopposed on Monday.

In a related development, former chief minister Hafeez-ur-Rehman was elected Leader of the Opposition in the provincial assembly.

Earlier, Amjad Hussain, a candidate of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), submitted his nomination papers for the Chief Minister's office. PPP lawmakers and central leaders were also present on the occasion.
