Second day of Eid celebrated across Pakistan with joy and festivity

Families exchange visits as festive meals and outings continue nationwide: Authorities urge simplicity amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East

Pakistanis are celebrating the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr with great enthusiasm and festive spirit, as families continue to mark the occasion with gatherings, outings, and traditional hospitality across the country.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, dressed in new clothes, citizens are making the most of the extended holidays by visiting relatives, enjoying recreational trips, and hosting meals. 

The festive atmosphere remains vibrant as those who hosted guests on the first day of Eid are now visiting others, continuing the tradition of social bonding and hospitality. 

Homes are filled with the aroma of traditional dishes as families warmly welcome guests with a variety of delicacies.

The first day of Eid was observed on Friday following the sighting of the Shawwal crescent on Thursday evening, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. 

The government had announced four public holidays from Friday to Monday, allowing people ample time to celebrate the religious festival with their loved ones.

However, authorities have also urged citizens to observe Eid with simplicity in view of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, where conflict continues following military strikes involving the United States and Israel against Iran and subsequent retaliatory actions.

Despite regional concerns, the spirit of Eid remains strong, with people across Pakistan embracing the values of joy, unity, and togetherness that define the festival.
