Centre owes Rs160b to Punjab govt

Punjab government led by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has a perfect synchronization with the federal government in almost all segments of governance but there comes a problem that became a headache for the provincial government.

The Centre has yet to provide outstanding Rs160 billion to the Punjab government. Punjab Finance Department has compiled a report of the outstanding dues from the federal government and sent it to the Chief Minister Secretariat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

In the ongoing fiscal year, Rs32 billion were added in the existing outstanding amount making a total of Rs160 billion.

Provincial finance department has compiled the report that 160 billion rupees are yet to be paid as outstanding payment against wheat, energy, health and tax departments.
