The Cabinet Division Wednesday presented the details of vehicles in use of ministers, assistants and advisers to the Senate.

From 1800cc to 4600cc bulletproof vehicles are in use of these persons. In a written reply the Cabinet Division told the Upper House that the Senate chairman and the National Assembly speaker have 4600cc bulletproof vehicles.

A sum of Rs46.8 million was spent on fuel while Rs38.8 million on repair in three years. The Senate was informed that some unelected members are using two vehicles and fuel, repair and maintenance cost Rs85 million in three years. Adviser Shehzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari, Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid, Ali Zaidi and interior secretary are using two vehicles.

The persons who are using the 1800cc vehicle are Shehryar Afridi, Pervez Khatak, Ejaz Shah, Asad Umer, Murad Saeed,  Shafqat Mehmood, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Umer Ayub, Dr Faisal Sultan, Razak Daud, Zartaj Gul, Faisal Vawda, Ghulam Sarwar, Sahibzada Mehmood Sultan, Hamad Azhar, Fakhr Imam, Hamad Shehzad Qasim, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Shehbaz Gul, Asim Saleem Bajwa, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Waqar, Abdul Hafiz Sheikh, Khusro Bakhtiyar, Zubaida Jalal, Ali Amir, Dr Ishrat, Dr Sania, Aminul Haq, Tabish Ali, Mian Muhammad Soomro, Shabir Ali and Ali Muhammad Khan.
