PM Imran holds talks with Punjab governor, CM
Orders upgradation of Toba sub-campus of UAF to university

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who reached Lahore on Friday on a day-long visit, directed the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to start making preparations for a by-election in NA-133, Lahore on a war footing in order to ensure Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) win, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Different matters came under discussion at the meeting between PM Imran and CM Buzdar. However, the by-election topped the meeting’s agenda.
Later, in his meeting with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, the prime minister accepted the latter’s demand for the upgradation of Toba Tek Singh sub-campus of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) to a full-fledged university.
PM Imran, on the occasion, also ordered the Punjab government to release funds for the purpose.
The Punjab governor said he was thankful to the prime minister, who had approved the upgradation of UAF’s sub-campus to a university.
During the meeting, the Punjab governor also discussed various other administrative and political issues in Punjab.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to take all possible measures to give maximum relief to the down-trodden segments of the society.
The prime minister expressed these views as he met Punjab Minister for Baitul Maal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari during his day-long visit to Lahore.
The prime minister was briefed on various welfare projects of Baitul Maal. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar was also present in the meeting.
