September 22, 2022 05:01 PM

Pakistan is witnessing a debate about Transgender Bill, which is the center of arguments since it has been seen as a means of legalizing same-sex marriage in the country.

Although the bill's supporters described it as a measure to defend transgender rights, some have come out against it openly.

Pakistani singer and host Rabi Pirzada has also spoken against the legislation.

The controversy surrounding the transgender is circulating on social media. The bill has been opposed by many, people are speaking up against such laws in an Islamic country, including Rabi Pirzada and she named those who are endorsing improper behavior under the guise of rights protection.

Rabi Pirzada believed that it has become a trend to promote transgender people in Pakistan. She further slammed people who promote transgenders in negative manner but not for good ones like for education and job. Further, she pointed out that the recent generation is following them on social media that leaves a negative impact on them.

Pirzada began her professional life in 2004. In 2005, she released "Dahdi Kurree," her debut song. "Mujhe Ishq Hai," "Jadoo," and "Kisi Ke Ho Ke Raho" were some of her other hits. The acclaimed song lyricist Shoaib Mansoor wrote her song "Kisi Ke Ho Ke Raho."

She came to public attention in 2017 following an interview in which she criticized Bollywood movies and actor Salman Khan, accusing them of encouraging violence among youth.

Later she left the movie business as a result of her leaked personal photos and videos.
