Good news for the Pakistanis planning to travel to Thailand as the Thai government has announced to remove the condition of coronavirus testing, which had been earlier made mandatory for the passengers landing at Bangkok airport in view of surge in cases of the pandemic, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The decision will take effect from May 1, 2022.

Now the people travelling from Lahore and other destinations in Pakistan to Bangkok will no longer have to undergo such test before boarding the plane.

Thai Airways has already sent messages to the passengers intimating them about the development.

However, the passengers will have to take coronavirus vaccination certificates with them.

Similarly, an advisory has been issued for the passengers who have not been vaccinated against the virus as yet as they will have to quarantine themselves at a hotel for five days on arrival.

And if the passenger does not test positive for the virus during his or her stay at the hotel, he or she will be free to travel anywhere in Bangkok.
