The festivities and celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr continue on the second day on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the second day of Eid, people visit their relatives and recreational sites to share the joy of Eid.

On Eid, get together parties are arranged at homes or somewhere outside. Eidi is given to the children which makes them happy. Children like to go to recreational places like zoo and museum while the grown-ups love visiting restaurants to enjoy meals.

Strict security arrangements have been made to thwart any untoward incident during the Eid holidays.

This year, the spirit of Eid festivities is dampened due to rising cost of living.  

Inflation clocked in at 35% in March, fueled by a depreciating currency, a rollback in subsidies, and the imposition of higher tariffs to secure a bailout package of $1.1 billion from the IMF — International Monetary Fund.

Food inflation has risen to more than 47%, and even the wealthier professional class is making lifestyle changes to deal with rising prices.
