FIA rejects LESCO concerns, says overbilling won’t be tolerated

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has made it clear to LESCO (Lahore Electric Supply Company) that overbilling was a serious violation of law which will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against the officers and officials who will be found involved in the cheating, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

LESCO Chief Executive Officer Shahid Haider and Director Customer Services Sarwar Mughal called on Director FIA Lahore and expressed concerns regarding the probe about overbilling and action against LESCO SDOs, and SOs.

On the occasion, Director FIA Sarfraz Virk made it clear to LESCO chief that officers and officials involved in overbilling will brought to task for their crime if even a single complaint of overbilling is received by FIA.

Moreover, Power Division has also told LESCO officials not to indulge in overbilling and complaints against the officials were bringing bad name to the LESCO.
