Lahore lawyer sentenced to six months in prison for misbehaving with judge

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday sentenced a lawyer to six months in prison besides slapping Rs100,000 in fine on him for showing disrespect towards a judge, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
LHC Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan pronounced the verdict following which the police took Zahid Mehmood Goraya into custody from the court premises.
Goraya had misbehaved with Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad following which the judge sent a reference to the LHC CJ for initiation of contempt of court proceedings against the lawyer.
