Two members of a family including a woman died of suffocation as a fire swept a house in a private housing society on Barki Road in Lahore on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to rescue personnel, the blaze broke out in the house located in Green City Housing Society, after which two people including a woman were found dead. Both died due to suffocation during the fire.

Rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The rescue personnel said the deceased man and woman have not yet been identified.

The cause of the fire was yet to be confirmed.
