A labourer died as a fire swept through a shoe factory at Bund Road area of Lahore on Saturday; however rescue officials succeeded in dousing the fire quickly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to rescue officials, a portion of the shoe factory collapsed after the fire engulfed the whole facility at Khokhar Town on Bund Road.

Resultantly 65-year-old Munir, who was an employee of the factory, buried under the debris and breathed his last.

The rescue officials were able to bring the blaze under control within an hour.

The dead body was shifted to Mayo Hospital.
