Van-truck collision leaves 10 dead near Sibi

At least 10 people were killed and 18 injured when a passenger coach collided with a Mazda truck at National Highway N-65’s Balanari area aka Bolan area near Sibi on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The TV channel reported that the passenger van was going from Jacobabad to Quetta on NH-65 that runs from Sukkur in Sindh to Quetta in Balochistan, via Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Jaffarabad and Naseerabad.
It is a two-lane highway with a total length of 385 km, divided into 295 km in Balochistan and the remaining 90 km in Sindh.
Among 10 dead, four died on the spot while remaining six breathed their last at the hospital.
Balochistan Levies forces and Edhi team personnel along with ambulances reached the spot and started further relief operation. The Edhi ambulances shifted the injured people to Civil Hospital in Sibi.
Rescue sources maintained that the few injured people are in critical condition and the death toll may rise.
Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani in a tweet said the injured people will be shifted to Quetta hospitals after initially being shifted to Civil Hospital Sibi.
