The lady workers in jails of Lahore became a menace for their officers Tuesday, refused to take part in any promotional courses and used strong political influence to get names out of candidate lists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The lady workers in Lahore jails also piled up many complaints against the higher officials for not getting promoted.

A letter was written to the superior officials by the jail officers saying that the lady jail wardens are refusing to take the promotional courses and are using strong intercessions and heavy political interferences to get their names off the list of candidates.

The lady wardens are violating the law and making themselves stick in the jails and start complaining about how the higher officials have deliberately blocked their promotions when they are near to the retirements, says the letter.

The IG prisons has taken a notice of this matter and issued a letter to officers saying that the lady wardens should take the courses so that they can be indorsed on new and higher ranks.
