Pakistan, Morocco desire boost in military cooperation
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan has been a forefront state in the fight against terrorism and had sacrificed and contributed immensely to maintain peace in the region.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in Charge of the Administration of National Defence Abdellatif Loudiyi and Inspector General of Royal Armed Forces Abdelfattah Lourak in Morocco, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
General Bajwa said Pakistan stands with Morocco even in most difficult times.
On the occasion, the Army Chief discussed matters of mutual interest with the Moroccan military leadership. Bajwa discussed bilateral defence, security cooperation and regional peace and stability with the Moroccan leaders.
The ISPR stated that both sides agreed upon the tremendous potential for cooperation in multiple fields including security cooperation, joint training and counter-terrorism domain.
General Bajwa also visited Royal College of Higher Military Education and shared his views of “Emerging Security Environment and its Challenges, Security situation in the region and Pakistan's contributions in war against terrorism".
