Key militant commander killed in North Waziristan

A key militant commander was killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Mir Ali area in North Waziristan on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, the security forces conducted an operation in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, on confirmation of presence of terrorists in the area. During the exchange of fire, terrorist commander Hassan alias Sajna of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group was killed.
The ISPR says Hassan alias Sajna was involved in killing of four women workers in Mir Ali this week. The killed terrorist remained involved in terrorist activities against security forces and peaceful civilians. He carried out IED attacks, was involved in kidnapping for ransom, target killings, extortion and recruitment of terrorists .A cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from his hideout. Security forces were clearing the area after the operation.
