Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which, like other opposition parties, had rejected the  Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) Amendment Ordinance on the grounds that it was against the constitution as well as basic human rights, announced on Wednesday that it would soon challenge it in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb and PML-N Senator Azam Nazir Tarar would file the petition in the high court.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had yesterday (Tuesday) tweeted that whatever laws the government was enacting, would be used against itself. “These laws are apparently being made to suppress the voice of media and opposition, but they will be used against Imran Khan and company,” she said. “There should be no blame upon us for not informing you,” she added.
