From Islamabad to Lahore, university students protesting for online exams

Students of different universities protested in front of Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Islamabad on Saturday demanding online examinations instead of on-campus papers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The protesting students urged the authorities to look into the matter and semester final examinations should be conducted online as the online classes on Zoom or Google Meet were held throughout the semester.
Earlier, various universities have announced online examinations after the countrywide protests by the students against on-campus paper. The universities which have announced the online papers included Punjab University and Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan.
The protesters also alleged that online classes were not conducted up to the mark and with this students future is being compromised.
Separately, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) also announced to conduct examinations online instead of on-campus.
LCWU Lahore administration has decided to issue a notification to all departments’ heads to conduct the papers online.
On the other hand, Punjab Group of Colleges students also protested in front of Punjab University to press their demands for online papers instead of on-campus examinations as proposed by the college.
