Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive: Dar says PM holds competition in 10 region

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Sunday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan organized competitions in 10 regions under the umbrella of ‘Talent Hunt Program’ through Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media along with European football coach Karel Freaye, the premier aide said that these competitions are held in Islamabad, Multan, Karachi, and Sialkot.
Dar said there are other districts including Faisalabad and Azad Kashmir. Successful players to be trained in Karachi, added the premier.
Dar said that successful players will be sent abroad with a good amount.
The amount of funds given by the present government for sports is unprecedented, Dar added.
The premier aide said that funds of Rs800million have been released to make Jinnah Stadium an international standard stadium. Construction work on Jinnah Stadium is in full swing, Dar added.
Dar said the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Punjab will soon release additional funds of Rs.1 billion for the construction of Jinnah Stadium.

While the football coach Karel said that initially, more than 200 players took part in the trials.
Despite the bad weather conditions, a trial of 72 players and 35 goalkeepers took place today, Karel added.
The football coach further said the people of Karachi warmly welcomed us and the players.
The players showed keen interest in football and displayed their talents, Karel said.
