Two killed, three injured in Swat landslide

Two people were killed while three were injured in an incident of landslide at Madyan, tehsil Bahrain, Swat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Rescue1122 personnel told media that five people were buried under the rubble when a rock fell on a house from a mountain.

They added that soon after learning about the tragedy, they and teams of the Medical Disaster Rescue rushed to the site of the incident and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital, Madyan.

Rains wreak havoc in Lower Dir

On the other hand, several vehicles, homes and parts of the road connecting Peshawar to Dir were swept away by water in Lower Dir after torrential rains lashed the area last night.

Hundreds of passengers are stranded in the area following the closure of Peshawar to Chitral road.

However, Al-Khidmat and Rescue1122 personnel have shifted some of the passengers to safe locations.  

Neelum Valley

Due to heavy rains, the flashflood water gushing out of Tahjian nullah in Neelum Valley has wreaked havoc.

Property, agricultural lands, crops and fruit trees were heavily damaged, and dozens of cattle were also swept away in the floodwater.

A young man drowned in the River Neelum while taking out the wood at the place of Luwat.
