The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday reserved its verdict on an application moved by ‘estranged’ Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen regarding issuance of notices by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to his sugar mills, reported by 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court was hearing the petition filed by Jahangir Tareen, seeking court directives against the notices.
Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of the LHC reserved the verdict after having listened to the arguments of lawyers of parties to the case.
In the petition, Jahangir Tareen argued that since the FBR by sending notices had violated Article 10-A, therefore, the court declared these notices null and void.
The court reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both sides.
