Resolution tabled in Senate against Pakistan's nomination of Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

A resolution was tabled in the Senate of Pakistan on Monday against Pakistani rulers’ decision to nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The resolution moved by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Senator Kamran Murtaza said that Pakistan should withdraw the nomination after Trump ordered bombing of Iran. He said that Trump violated the international laws by ordering bombing of Iran. He said that Trump interfered in Iran’s sovereign matters by ordering bombing of the Pakistan’s neighbouring Muslim country.

He said that Trump’s decision has brought chaos to the region. He said that a motion too has been submitted in the Senate for a debate on this issue. He said that Pakistani rulers’ decision to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize is against the wishes of the people of Pakistan. He said the rulers did not even consult the parliament before nominating Trump for the peace prize.
