Two dacoits killed in Muridke police encounter

Two notorious dacoits were gunned down, and their three accomplices escaped from the scene during a police encounter in Muridke, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Police said that they received credible information that some dacoits were busy looting the people near Rana Town of Muridke.

After taking notice of the police team, the dacoits started firing. During heavy exchange of fire, two dacoits were killed, and their three colleagues fled away from the scene.

Police said that all dacoits were wanted by police in different criminal cases, which were registered against them in different police stations.

These dacoits killed a citizen during a robbery on the GT Road two months ago. The dead dacoits were identified as Umar Maqbool, alias Kaka, son of Maqbool, and Faisal, son of Boota, resident of Muridke.

A Crime Control Department (CCD) team shifted the dead bodies of dacoits to the hospital for autopsy and started a search operation to apprehend their accomplices.
