Extends greetings to President Alvi on Pakistan Day

President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a letter of congratulations to his Pakistani counterpart President Arif Alvi on Pakistan Day expressing his strong will to enhance friendly exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries to build a closer community of shared future in the new era.

The congratulatory letter has been shared by the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong on his official Twitter handle.
Radio Pakistan reported that President Xi said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project has entered the stage of high quality development.
The Chinese President said that he attached utmost importance to Pak-China relations and, together with President Arif Alvi, seeks friendly exchanges between the two countries and comprehensive promotion of cooperation in all fields.
The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong also congratulated and extended his best wishes to Pakistan for the 81st Pakistan Day.
“We shall implement the consensus reached by the two leaders, and make every effort to score new achievements in bilateral cooperation. Chin-Pak dosti Zindabad,” the Chinese envoy to Pakistan said.

Qureshi, Wang Yi in phone call
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said, “The Foreign Minister thanked for Premier Li Keqiang’s thoughtful message wishing Prime Minister Imran Khan speedy recovery from COVID-19. State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi also wished swiftest recovery to Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
Qureshi underscored that Pakistan had devised an elaborate plan of vaccination across the country as part of its endeavours to combat the pandemic.
To reinforce Pakistan’s capacity to effectively and expeditiously fight the pandemic, Qureshi discussed with his Chinese counterpart the supply of COVID-19 vaccine from China to Pakistan during March-April 2021.
Wang Yi reassured that China will continue to firmly support Pakistan in its fight against the pandemic and accord highest priority to the requirements of its time-tested friend.
The MOFA Spokesperson said, “Foreign Minister Qureshi also expressed gratitude to China for earlier gifting Pakistan 1.5 million doses of Chinese vaccine, underlining that it had played a pivotal role in protecting precious human lives.”
Both Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their resolve to further deepen Pakistan-China “All-Weather Strategic Co-operative Partnership”.
The two sides also agreed to maintain high-level exchanges.
