CAA issues alert after rain disrupts flights at Karachi Airport

Rain has disrupted flights operation at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport with Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issuing an alert barring small aircraft from taking off on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the CAA have cautioned all the aviation companies not to operate small aircraft saying these face difficulties during rain.

The CAA also directed to attach weight to the wings of the small aircraft while parking during wet and windy weather.

Meanwhile, PIA flight PK-310 from Karachi to Quetta is facing a delay due to bad weather. It will now take off at 2:50 pm.

Similarly Serene Air’s flight ER-502 from Karachi to Islamabad will now leave at 7:00 pm.

AirBlue flight PA-402 from Karachi to Lahore will now depart at 8:00 pm tonight, the airport sources said.
