Call for fair approach to send skilled work force to Japan

March 24, 2023 03:12 AM

Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA) Vice President Adnan Paracha has written a letter to DG Bureau of Immigration in which he categorically demanded that the decision to select only 18 promoters for sending the skilled work force to Japan be cancelled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to the text of the letter, there are 3.3 million job opportunities in Japan and 2,400 licence promoters in Pakistan. “Therefore, it would be unfair to select only 18 of them.”

Parachi demanded the immediate cancellation of the list of 18 promoters.

Moreover, he urged the Bureau of Immigration to provide all 2,400 promoters opportunities to help send skilled work force to Japan.

In the meantime, he pinned the hope that Pakistan can earn remittances of 6 to 8 billion dollars annually by getting work opportunities in Japan and European counties.
