Child dies after falling in sewerage drain in Khanewal

Due to the apathy of the concerned authorities, a child lost his life when he fell into a sewage drain in Khanewal, reported 24HD New Channel on Monday.
The incident took place in Farid Kot area of Khanewal. The victim was identified as Sajjad. The heirs of the child said that Sajjad breathed his last while he was being shifted on his way to the hospital.
Residents of the area appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister to take notice of the incident and award exemplary punishment to the responsible people.
A spokesman of the district government expressed his concerns over the incident and said that they are with the parents of the child at this hour of grief.
