After Bollywood star Deepika Padukone had stepped out to vote recently and faced criticism for flaunting baby bump and offering a difficult walk, fellow star Alia Bhatt emerged in great defense, supporting an impactful note which has been posted by some journalist slamming all the trolls, also teaching “mind your own business.’

Deepika was recently papped in the city as she stepped out to cast her vote along with her husband, Ranveer Singh. Dressed in a loose white shirt and capri, the lady looked stunning. However, as soon as pictures and videos of the actress surfaced online, a section of social media users posted nasty comments and even called her baby bump fake. One user wrote, "She is not pregnant. This is embarrassing." While another commented, “Chal kiu rahi esyyy abi itna b baby bump bahar nai aya."

As the actress was unnecessarily trolled by faceless people on the internet, a senior journalist, Faye D’Souza, took to social media and penned a strong note in support of the actress. As soon as Faye shared the post, Alia was quick to like it along with her sisters, Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt. Faye’s post can be read as: “Dear social media, Deepika Padukone stepped out to do her democratic duty and vote. She did not ask for your feedback on her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on any aspect of her life. Stop it. Behave.”

Despite Deepika Padukone’s dating history with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt maintains a cordial bond with her. During her earlier conversation with Karan Johar on his chat show, Koffee With Karan 7, Alia Bhatt talked about maintaining a good rapport with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor’s exes, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. During the rapid-fire round, Karan asked Alia what tag would suit her the best, "How to be best friends with your exes" or "How to be friends with your boyfriend's exes". To this, she mentioned:

“I think I know how to stay friends with my partner’s ex. I am very good friends with his exes. I love them both.”
