PM Shehbaz to leave for Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan on May 25

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official visit to Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan starting Sunday, to strengthen bilateral ties and address recent tensions with India.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office, the visit will take place from May 25 to 30, 2025. During this time, the Prime Minister will engage in comprehensive discussions with the leadership of each country, covering a broad spectrum of issues related to bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international developments.

The statement noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz will also take the opportunity to convey Pakistan’s heartfelt appreciation for the support shown by these friendly nations during the recent crisis with India.

Additionally, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from May 29 to 30, 2025.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz expressed deep gratitude to Turkiye and Azerbaijan for their steadfast support and solidarity with Pakistan amid heightened tensions with India.
