Pakistani parliamentary delegation visits China to mark 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship

Member of the Punjab Assembly, Sarah Ahmad, visited China as part of a delegation of Pakistani parliamentarians and political representatives participating in celebrations commemorating the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China friendship.

During the visit, Sarah Ahmad addressed the Youth Exchange Panel held at Capital Normal University in Beijing alongside members of the Pakistani political delegation. Speaking at the event, she said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan-China relations have reached new heights and entered a new era of strategic cooperation.

Sarah Ahmad emphasized that future partnerships between Pakistan and China would be strengthened through collaboration in higher education, research, innovation, and youth engagement. She highlighted the importance of joint research initiatives, technological cooperation, and educational linkages between the youth of both countries, stating that young people form the foundation of future global relations.

She also expressed gratitude to the International Department of the Communist Party of China for extending the invitation and for its warm hospitality. According to Sarah Ahmad, international youth exchange programs play a significant role in promoting cultural harmony, bringing young people closer together, and fostering global peace.

The Punjab lawmaker further stated that Pakistani students studying in Chinese universities serve as ambassadors of goodwill between the two nations. She noted that youth can play a vital role in countering extremism, promoting peace, and contributing toward a brighter future.

Sarah Ahmad added that the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China symbolizes regional stability, development, and prosperity, and reaffirmed that both countries will continue to remain trusted partners in the years ahead.
