Two dacoits gunned down in Faisalabad police encounter

Two bandits were gunned down during a police encounter in Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Jaranwala Police Station. The police were taking the accused, who were later identified as Naveed and Mazhar, to Jaranwala City for recovery.
Suddenly, some attackers started firing at the police vehicle on Bachina Road in a bid to free the accused from police custody.
The dacoits and police came face-to-face at Chak No. 238. During the exchange of fire, two dacoits were killed.
Later, the police shifted the dead bodies to the mortuary for autopsy. Police said that both the dead dacoits were involved in more than a dozen criminal cases.
