Eleven innocent civilians, including six women and four children, sustained injuries in a fresh ceasefire violation by the Indian military in Khuiratta Sector along Line of Control (LoC), the Pakistan Army media wing said on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian troops targeted the civil population during a marriage ceremony in Jigjot village with rockets and heavy mortars.
Deliberately targeting civil population, particularly women and children, shows Indian military lacking morality, professionalism and humanity, the ISPR added.
A report said a couple of months ago that indiscriminate and unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian forces claimed 18 lives while 187 persons sustained serious wounds.
