The weather remained dry in most parts of the country while hilly areas were in the grip of cold during the last 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the data provided by the National Flood Response and Coordination Centre on Sunday, the lowest minimum temperature (°C) was recorded in Leh,-05, Astore 02, Ziarat 01 and Kalam and Skardu 00.

On the flood relief efforts, the NFRCC has informed that so far, 147 relief camps and 21 relief collection points have been established in Sindh, South Punjab and Balochistan for the flood affectees.

Up until now, 10,485.2 tons of food items along with 1,906.3 tons of sustenance items and 15,856,896 medicine items have been collected so far. Out of which, 10,479.1 tons of food 1,901.9 tons of sustenance items and 15,856,896 medicine items have been distributed. 

More than 300 medical camps have been established so far in which more than 459,472 patients have been treated all across the country and provided 3-5 days’ free medicines.

The NFRCC has revealed that due to improved situation, no helicopter sortie was flown during last 24 hours.

However, so far, 627 Army aviation helicopters sorties have been flown to various areas for evacuation of stranded people. Moreover, 4,659 stranded Individuals have been evacuated through helicopter sorties.

According to the NFRCC, the Pakistan Navy established four flood relief centers and 18 central collection points all across the country. These collection centers have distributed 2,300.39 tons ration, 8,712 tents and 751,566 liter mineral water in various districts. In addition, 15 tent cities have also been established at Qambar Shehdad Kot, Dadu, Bhan Syedabad, Sukkar, Sanghar and Sujawal. 

Moreover, PN’s 19 Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) deployed all over the country have rescued 15,582 stranded people. These ERTs are equipped with 36 Zulu boats and 02 Hovercraft. 

So far, the PN helicopters have carried 71 sorties, these helicopters rescued 481 stranded people and distributed 5,333 packets of ration/1700 kg of medicines. Six diving teams of Pak Navy have also carried out 28 diving operations in affected areas across the Pakistan. 

The PN has also established 144 medical camps in which 152,058 patients have been treated till to date.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has established 54 flood relief centers and 03 central aviation hubs all across the country. 

The PAF has also distributed 4,776.56 tons of ration, 327,108 liter fresh water, 7,413 tents and 1,049,475 food packages among flood affectees. 21 tent cities accommodating 19,807 people have also been established by the PAF. It carried out 268 sorties and evacuated 1,521 people from the flood affected areas. 

Moreover, the PAF has established 46 medical camps in which 90,147 patients have been treated so far.

Damage Assessment by Joint Survey

According to the NFRCC, the province-wise damage assessment as per the joint survey progress, is as under:-

Balochistan: 429,497 houses surveyed, 126 people died, 156,710 houses fully damaged, 110,787 houses partially damaged, 170,333.7 acres crops damaged and 204,000 livestock killed. 

Gilgit-Baltistan: 8,479 houses surveyed, 23 people died, 667 houses fully damaged, 1,126 houses partially damaged, 1579.3 acres crops damaged and 609 livestock killed. 

Punjab: 45,124 houses surveyed, 17 people died, 19,636 houses fully damaged, 5,458 houses partially damaged, 2,279 acres crops damaged and 469 livestock killed. 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 43,511 houses surveyed, 115 people died, 18,420 houses fully damaged, 31,275 houses partially damaged, 27,106.27 acres crops damaged and 49,925 livestock killed. 

Sindh: 238,144 houses surveyed, 239 people died, 71,096 houses fully damaged 38,055 houses partially damaged, 20,800.3 acres crops damaged and 61,899 livestock killed. 

Overall: A survey of 764,755 houses was conducted, 520 people died, 266,529 houses fully damaged, 186,701 houses partially damaged, 222,098.57 acres crops damaged and 316,902 livestock killed.
