Cotton prices are continuously showing an upward trend and its per-maund rate on Thursday reached Rs13,100 from Rs12,800, reported 24NewHD TV channel. 

According to Cotton Jeans Forum Chairman Ehsan ul Haq, cotton prices were dropped Rs2,000 and reached Rs12,500 in the last two weeks. 

“There was an uptick in the cotton prices in last two days after European Union announcement made on continuing Pakistan’s GSP+ status,” he added.

The cotton price on Thursday registered a Rs300 increase.
