Jhelum couple held who sets teenage daughter to fire for honour

A big breakthrough was made in the murder case of a teenage girl whose burnt body was recovered by the police in tehsil Pind Dadan Khan in Jhelum on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, 18-year-old Ruqayya was mercilessly set to fire in the name of honour and her family tried to portray the incident as an accidental happening.
Police arrested the slain girl’s father Muhammad Muaz and mother Sakeena Bibi in connection with the murder of their daughter.
Police said they found contradictions in the statements of the deceased girl’s parents and they got suspicious.
They said that Ruqayya’s body was completely burnt but her face and head hair weren’t singed.
A murder case was registered on the complaint of Pind Dadan Khan police station following which the law personnel started investigation.
Youth jailed for sharing pictures of little girl
A cybercrime court on Friday handed a sentence of 24 months in prison to a youth for sharing compromising pictures and videos of a minor girl on social media.
As per details, a case was registered in cyber-crime court against the accused named Ahsan Khaliq for posting obnoxious pictures and videos of a minor girl on different social media platforms. The court sentenced him to 24 months imprisonment after being found guilty.
The court also ordered the criminal to pay a fine of Rs140, 000 in lieu of this heinous crime.
