Amid flood crisis, the majority of the showbiz celebrities are in Canada for the 8th Hum Awards ceremony. They are having fun and enjoying themselves while touring Niagara Falls and other attractions. Despite all the criticism, Hum TV insisted that they were still organizing awards ceremony and that half of the proceeds will be directly donated to the flood victims of Pakistan.

People posted against celebrities going to Canada and enjoying themselves while Pakistan is facing a huge problem. Even actress Noor Bukhari stood up against the showbiz stars and expressed that while Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is in Pakistan, our own celebrities are busy doing their jobs.

On criticism, the actors spoke up and a fundraising event was held on Friday. Hum TV organized a fundraiser. Sultana Siddiqui spoke and said that she had done a lot of good during COVID and had decided to raise money in Canada as well. However, because their organization isn't registered in Canada, they will work with another group.

Other celebrities posted on social media platforms to raise awareness that a percentage of revenue will be shared with the flood affectees that will be collected by fundraising dinner. Also the awards will be sold out awards stated Ahmad Ali Butt and slammed the people who are calling out against Pakistani celebrities and supporting Angelina Jolie. More celebrities like Nadia Hussain and Ushna shah also even spoke out and Defended Hum Awards.

Other celebrities even made videos of appeal for the flood affected people and talked about the donations. They also clarified that the event aim is to collect funds and to represent Pakistan.
