Ishaq Dar holds talks with Syrian president

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara’a on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session in New York, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In a post uploaded on X platform, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan looks forward to enhance cooperation with Syria in diverse fields including trade.

Meeting with GGG secy general

Ishaq Dar on Tuesday also met the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly session.

During the meeting, the DPM/FM underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with the GCC and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening multifaceted cooperation with the Member States of the Council.

The two sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in various sectors, as well as expanding institutional linkages between Pakistan and the GCC.
