PDMA demands Rs2b more funds for flood rehabilitation
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab requested the government to release an additional amount of Rs2 billion for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people in Punjab. reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
These funds will be transferred to the flood-affected districts of Punjab. The district administration is providing relief and rescue to flood-affected people. PDMA also expanded relief operations in flood-affected areas of Punjab.
The Punjab government has already released an amount of Rs3 billion and 53 crores for the flood-affected people.
Over 47,00,000 people were affected by the recent deadly floods in Punjab. The PDMA officials said that food and animal foodie being provided to flood-affected people.
PDMA is also providing them with temporary shelter and food items. The officials demanded an additional Rs2 billion from the government.
All the funds are being spent on relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of the flood-affected.
