The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday made wearing face mask compulsory at public places amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Provincial Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra said that it was possible that the virus might stay for one to two years. He said that the government would implement this decision, as many countries made mask-wearing compulsory.

He urged the citizens to wear masks or to cover their faces with any cloth in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
