Troops of Pakistan Army join police in efforts to enforce Covid-19 SOPs
The troops accompanied the Islamabad Police personnel to different markets of the city after Prime Minister Imran Khan called in the army to have the coronavirus SOPs enforced in letter and spirit. The raiding teams took action against those violating the standard operating procedures developed by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The army and police personnel on patrol duty took action against SOPs violators in G-9 Markaz and E-11 Sector. Dozens of shops were sealed and shop owners were arrested for allowing SOPs violators into their shops. The Islamabad Capital City (ICT) administration told the shopkeepers to make their customers strictly follow the SOPs.
