PTI-SIC-led opposition members staged protest demonstration in front of the dais of the Speaker National Assembly, shouted slogans and demanded the release of Bushra Bibi during the National Assembly session on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Opposition Leader Omar Ayub on the occasion claimed that Bushra Bibi was being slowly poisoned by the government. And all the evidence has become clear about it. He demanded that Bushra Bibi’s medical checkup be conducted at Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar told Opposition members that protest was a basic right of PTI workers and leaders. He said courts have to decide the future of the cases as the National Assembly was not the court of law. Tarar urged Opposition members that it was the floor of the house and, they should raise public issues on the platform.

Tarar advised the opposition that protest was their right and that they can talk about their public issue while sitting in their seats. The government benches remained silent during the opposition sloganeering. However, when the NA Deputy Speaker threatened to adjourn the National Assembly Session, the Opposition members ended their protest and sat in their seats.
