Fire breaks out in prayer mat-making factory in Gujranwala

A fire broke out in a prayer mat-making factory in Gujranwala causing a loss of millions on Friday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The blaze started on the vast first floor of the factory situation on the Hafizabad Road which took seven fire tenders to extinguish it after hours of effort.

According to the rescue officials, the fire engulfed the whole first-floor area spanning over one and a half kanal.

Rescue personnel suspected short-circuit as the cause of the blaze. Thread worth millions of rupees was reduced to ashes in the fire, they added.
