A woman named Ramsha, has filed for ‘khula’ (woman’s right to divorce) in Lahore's family court, from her husband Gohar Ali whose whereabouts have been unknown for the last seven years, reported 24NewsHD TV on Friday.

The woman filed a petition through Muhammad Aashiq Advocate claiming that she got married to Gohar Ali, ten years ago, and her husband had left home to head abroad around seven years ago.

In the family civil judge's court, Ramsha, a resident of Mughalpura, claimed that she was ‘fed up’ with all the hard work and now wants a divorce to live happily.

The court issued notice and summoned Gohar Ali's parents to apprise the real situation to the court.

The hearing is set for January 10.
