CAA diverts Lahore flights to Islamabad Airport due to fog

Due to dense fog, the flight operation at Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore has been affected as several international flights have been diverted to Islamabad airport on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the Lahore airport authority has diverted the international flights coming to Lahore airport from Baku, Damam, Abu Dhabi, and Istanbul to Islamabad airport as landing in the city airport could not be allowed due to fog.
As per the instructions, all international flights coming to Lahore before 12 noon will be diverted to Islamabad airport.
Besides this, the flights going to Muscat, Jeddah, Dubai and Riyadh from Lahore airport, will now be taken off from Islamabad airport.
The Civil Aviation Authority explained that Jeddah-bound flight PK 759; Dubai-bound Flight PK 203; Riyadh-bound flight PK 725; and Muscat-bound flight PK 229 will take off from Islamabad airport instead of Lahore airport.
