Flight operation at Islamabad airport hit by closure of routes

Flight arrivals and departures at Islamabad International Airport will be affected due to the temporary closure of certain air routes on December 24 and 25, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The NOTAM stated that flight operations at the airport will remain suspended at specific times on both days. Arrivals and departures will be halted from 10:55 am to 11:55 am and again from 2:25 pm to 3:25 pm on December 24 and 25.

The temporary suspension is expected to impact both domestic and international flights operating through the federal capital’s main airport.

Passengers have been advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines to confirm flight schedules and avoid inconvenience before traveling, the PAA said.

Airport authorities said normal operations will resume after the specified time slots, and travelers are urged to plan accordingly.
