FIA’s Cyber Crimes Department has arrested Professor Salahuddin, who was serving as the Chairman at the Islamic Department and Coordinator of City Campus at Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan, over charges of harassing girl students.

The female students accused Professor Salahuddin of following them on social media.

The professor has been forced to resign.

It has been reported that Professor Salahuddin used to harass students threatening them with scoring lower marks in examinations. There have also been complaints against him for misbehaving with woman teachers, but the administration never initiated any action against him.

In another development, on the directive of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman Khan, the former registrar and current Director Administration of Gomal University Dilnawaz Khan has been suspended.

In a notification issued by the Gomal University Chancellor, Dilnawaz Khan was also banned from entering the university premises.
