Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Friday that the world should acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts for the regional peace, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Talking to US’s ambassador in Pakistan Donald Blome, who called on him in Islamabad, he underlined the importance of a peaceful and stable Afghanistan for Pakistan. 

The minister also stressed the need for a diverse relationship between Pakistan and the USA; from combating terrorism to conventional defence.  

Both the sides agreed that the national and regional stability was an important subject for both the countries.
